Camper Info Tab Order

To make entering data easier, TACO allow you to change the tab order on the Camper Info form.

As you already know, the TACO's insertion point moves to the next field in the form when you press the Tab key. I pre-set the tab order when I designed TACO.

However, each of you has your own Scholarship Application form. The sequence of data does not match that of TACO. What to do!!

With Taco, you can adjust the Camper Information tab order to match your application forms. This allows you to move from one field to the next field (by pressing the Tab key) in the same sequence as the data appears on your camp application. (As an aside, TACO highlights the active field in yellow so you can see it easier)

This will reduce the amount of time you spend keying in the data and reduce errors.

To find the Custom Tab Sequence, go to the Camper Information Screen and click the button in the lower right - "Tab Order." This will take you to the screen where you establish your tab sequence.

When you arrive at the "Set Tab Order" screen, notice that the insertion cursor is on "0" in the last name text box. This cannot be changed. You will always start in the Last Name text box in the Camper Information screen. However, from there you can go to any subsequent text box.

What you do is key in a number in the rest of the boxes displayed in the Set Tab Order screen.

o        You cannot have duplicate numbers.

o        Every field must have a number.

o        The numbers must go consecutively from 0 to 38 (number 0 will always be in the Last Name field).

You will want the sequence of numbers (from 0 to 38) to match your camper application form or the order in which you want to input the data. With 0 corresponding to the field of the clubber's last name.

After you have the sequence you want, click the "Set Camper Tab Order" button in the lower right of the screen. You will see a message box saying your tab sequence has been successfully modified. You will be taken to the Camper Information Screen.

Now, when you tab from one field to the next (using the Tab key on the keyboard) you will follow the sequence of your Scholarship Camp Application.
