- Checking Your
Camp for Errors
How embarrassing! A boy in a girls cabin
or a girl in a boy’s cabin. TACO will not prevent you from such blunders if
you want to. After all, it’s your career.
However, TACO will tell you when such
things occur and you have the option to change them. Camp error checking is
available in the Print Reports screen in the Camp Check tab as well in
the following screens:
-
Current Camper
screen – on the right is a camp “Match” field. TACO checks the Camper’s
camp against the cabin’s camp. A mismatch is displayed with the word
“Camp.”
-
Camper-cabin
gender - TACO checks
the Camper’s gender against the cabins gender. A mismatch is flagged with
the word “Gender.”
-
Cabin Gender
Mismatch Check found on the Current Campers screen and in the Print Reports / Camp
tab identifies Campers in the wrong gendered cabin. (Selected checking can
be done from a variety of screens. For instance, you can check for
cabin/camper gender mismatches in the Current Campers screen)
-
Cabin Check
– allows you to verify the occupants of each cabin. An overcrowded
condition is flagged with “Too many occupants.”
-
Check Counts
screen lists each cabin, the numbers of Campers assigned to the cabin and
the number of counselors. An over crowded condition is flagged.
-
Cabins and
Counselors screen (available from the Counselor Information screen) flags
mismatches between Counselor camp level (Camp) and Counselor gender and
cabin gender (Gender).
-
Color Team
Check – allows you to identify multiple Camper family members on the same
team.
-
Cabin
Occupancy report flags a cabin with too many campers.
